Lanivet – a rural village in the geographical centre of Cornwall. The village has everything you need, a corner shop, a play park, a post office, a good fish and chip shop and a pub!

Lanhydrock House and gardens – this National Trust property is the perfect country house and estate. There are formal gardens, ancient woodlands and tranquil riverside paths. There are also off-road cycle trails, with special routes for families and novice riders.

Wadebridge has plenty of independent shops and family friendly cafes. This pretty market town is perfect for a wander and a browse. You can also hire cycles here and head straight down the Camel Trail to Padstow.

Lostwithiel is a charming little town, known as the antiques capital of Cornwall there are excellent pubs and restaurants and a busy events calendar including LostFest, markets and vintage fairs. Lostwithiel is also home to Restormel Castle, a 13th Century castle managed by English Heritage. There are outdoor theatre productions here in the summer.

Bodmin Moor is 150 square miles of moorland, it’s a great place for bracing walks and fresh air. The moor is a World Heritage Site and has also been named an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The two highest peaks in Cornwall (Rough Tor and Brown Willy) are on Bodmin Moor, the views are spectacular.

Cardinham Woods is a beautiful mixed woodland, popular with local dog walkers, cyclists, and horse riders. It also has a children’s play area. It is very well managed and more importantly it is home to one of the best cream teas in Cornwall. The Woods Café is based in the old woodsmans cottage, beautiful location and great food.

The South Coast is populated with sheltered river estuaries and pretty villages. Some of our favourite places to visit are Fowey, Charlestown and The Lizard.

The North Coast offers a wild and beautiful landscape with many beaches popular with surfers and families. Our favourite places to visit include Tintagel, Polzeath and Rock.

Attractions are varied and plentiful in Cornwall, these two are excellent and close by.

Crealy Adventure Park is an award winning adventure park. It’s well worth getting the 7 days for the price of one offer if you have young children.

The Eden Project is very close by, an attraction with a social conscience. They have fantastic gardens and host amazing events. Whether it’s ice skating, den building or the World Pasty Championships there is always something happening.
